SPSExplorer WebParts

SPSExplorer WebParts are two webparts designed to improve the SharePoint user experience when navigating across Document Libraries or Lists that include folders. These webparts show, a folder tree view, a breadcrumb navigation bar and a toolbar with optional buttons. You only need select the list or document library and the list view that you want to see.

SPSListExplorer is designed to use with lists and SPSDocumentExplorer with Document Libraries.


 

Installation requirements

  • The SPSProfessional SPSExplorer webparts works in WSS 3.0 and MOSS 2007
  • Both WSS 3.0 and MOSS 2007 require SP1 (Service Pack 1)
  • SharePoint Administrator Account to install and activate the Feature
  • Site Administrator Account to configure

Restrictions

  • Doesn't´t run in the built-in explorer view, Gantt views or calendar views

Usage

In the properties you need select the list and the view that you want to show.

  
 

Version 2.0

Caching
The SPSExplorer product now has an option to store the crawling results over a defined period of time. You can find more information here.

Improved Performance
In this new version the crawler is much faster.

Multi - lingual / Localization
All text configuration files are now in resource folders (read more).

Toolbar
Now the toolbar is the same that SharePoint use in Lists and Document Libraries. This allows you to show the actions menu.
Bringing the SPSExplorer to document libraries can be used now with the SPS CutCopyPaste (see demo).
